05 and 06 engines

Are they the same ? reason I ask have just picked up a new ADV and it is so smooth it does not even rock when you rev it.

My 1200GS is a 2006 model and it gives a little rock when you rev it. Although the balancer shaft does a good job, it doesn't mask the reaction completely.

i have an 05 & thats nice & smooth even the gear change is sweet
