having traded in my 07 gsa for a 08 gsa with the full package,i,m trying to get used to the vibration,over70miles mph my arm goes numb holding the throttle open, and the gearbox is no better,I waited for my bike to be built in germany, not knowing what the recalls are, i have to wait for my 6000 mile service unless something goes pearshaped ,any one have the same problems, and i,m not holding the throttle to tight.

How many miles on it? Mine was noticeable smoother after it had its 600 mile service and is getting steadily better.

4,000 miles on the clock, just does,nt feel right, i,m hoping its not the one they rushed, so i,ll be patient.

Vibration

Try putting the bike on the centre stand, and spin the front wheel. If you have any rim runout, that could be your problem. My 06 GSA has 1.95mm side to side runout, and i suffer from pins and needles after about 20 minutes riding.Got fed up with negative attitude from three different dealers about the problem but love the bike so much i have fitted a throttle lock and decided to live with it.

Ever thought of fitting cast wheels, very liberating (big understatement) ;)

Currently doing the same with my 08 GSA :thumb2

tell you what wolf that GSA looks mighty purty with those wheels on:cool::cool::cool:

And I bet they're a darn sight easier to clean too

Just out of interest what would a set of those wheels cost? And are they available in black? :augie

I noticed the other day while rumbling along at 80ish that the right hand bar end vibrates considerably more than the left. Whether this is because there is less 'gubbins' to dampen out the vibes or not I'm not sure but I'll play with adding some lead shot over winterto see if it helps. If you're susceptible to vibe induced numb finger syndrome I can see this would be a pain.

I got that set off a guy on the site here £350 inc P & P (For Sale and Wanted section) who had just changed to wires.

I would think you would pay a lot more for a new set though.

I think if you PM 'Thunder' he should have a set he enameled black and rather tasty they look too :beerjug:
