Livin' the dream.... (Lowstuff, Suffick)
......and we're coming to Ireland.

Me and the management are coming across to Rosslaire on the 19th, back from Dublin on the 29th.
:Motomartin
Need to ride the coast from Rosslaire, fancied a night or two in Clonakilty, ride the rings of Kerry and Beara, apart from that, we're easy.

Mixture of camping and B&B/cheap hotels is ideal, anybody wanna recommend us some places to go and accomodation pretty please?

Cheers!

Rich and Naomi :aidan

I'm sure if you were to take a break (overnight or coffee) in Cork, there'd be a few members who'd be happy to say hello.
Probably too tight to buy you a coffee or a beer, though.

You could lose yourself for two days on Beara without being disappointed.
Richie, of this site, led a great run a few weeks back and will probably have a good few points of interest for you.

Brian O and I have just come back from two weeks in Ireland. We stayed at Blarney Caravan & Camping N51.94744 W8.54537 will take you right there, very clean and tidy plus wifi if you need it and just outside Cork.

Rich,

If you enjoy your fry ups be prepared for 8 -10 Euros each... NOT cheap in Ireland by any means.

The Healy Pass is a great ride well worth it.

This was our route..

Skip the ring of Kerry - when are you around Kerry? I might be able to join you for some "good bits".

a few more good runs listed here.. now I know they are all in the one area
but if you are on your way through they are worth a wee look

http://www.waterfordtourism.org/drives.htm

one in particular is the Vee Drive, fab run great scenery ending with Lismore Castle which is the private home of the Dukes of Devonshire, but Lismore Castle Gardens are open to the public.

and Valentia island, great spot with lovely pubs

Hey everyone, thanks for the info.

I need to chat with the management about itinary in order to work out when we'll be where, and then I'll get back to those kind souls who've offered to meet up and or help with accomodation.

Keep the pointers coming, and I'll get back to you tonight. :thumb2

Thanks again :beerjug:

West

Have a look around the forum, regarding other visitors experiences.
Connemara and the West has nice bits too.
Cliffs of Moher in Clare and the 'Corniche' past the Burren.
Caveat, Galway hosts the Arts Week and then the Race Week, so things get a bit busy.
Have a spot in the back garden, if youse pitch a tent, might even boil the tea or coffee.
safe motoring
Josey

Ballinskelligs on the south part of the Ring of Kerry, Valentia island on the tip and more importantly, beyond Dingle to Slea head, spend plenty time there maybe overnight in Ballyferriter
Carrowmore Megalithic cemetery in Sligo
West Cork, Schull, Baltimore
Achill island
West Galway by Clifden
