Hi Folks,
I have recently purchased an 1100 GS 1995 , now I wish to dump the cat and fit a remus exhaust.

I have got the remus exhaust next on the list is the Y piece, now on the current
setup on the bike the right hand pot manifold exhaust skirts round in front of the engine and joins into the cat.

I see all the time exhaust's and Y piece's available but no drop down manifolds
ie a pair to suit the Y piece, are all the manifolds standard and where available.

Many thanks Mack..... :)

In case you`re wondering about the link posted above,it`s to try and clear up your confusion about the Y piece.

The Y piece is for the 1150 which has a header pipe each side.

The 1100 has a 2 into 1 header arrangement on the right hand side side,so replacing the stock silencer/intermediate box/cat (if fitted) requires either an 'S pipe' link tube from headers to silencer can,or an intermediate silencer box.

Both are available from Remus....the S pipe makes the bike a lot louder, the intermediate silencer box makes it just a bit throatier than stock, even with a race can.

Your thinking of the 1150 set up - not even sure your 1100 has a CAT, just an expansion box - what do i know

Hi Tuned in, Tarka, & Steptoe,

Thankyou very much for the info I was a bit confused

on the setup of the exhaust, but now looking at the responce from your good

selves it now seems to make sense.

Hopefully now I can choose the right kit to do the job.

Many thanks Mack....... :)

Hi Folks back again,

Well looking at the exhaust,I have just realised the exhaust

and what I think is the cat are all one unit !! so I think I need an S pipe and

an intermediate silencer box and then the remus exhaust correct ?

Many thanks Mack... :)

Just an S pipe and silencer.

S pipe OR intermediate silencer box mate.

S pipe and Remus exhaust can for a fair bit more grunt just off idle and LOADS of noise.

Intermediate silencer box and Remus exhaust can for a bit more throttle response and a very slightly throatier sound without actually being much louder than stock .

A race can on the intermediate silencer box doesn`t sound much louder than stock, but on the S pipe it`s like Armageddon.

You choose :thumb
