I have always had that surging/stuttering effect from my 1100's and I have tried everything including John the Greeks chip. I balanced the injectors, did the valve clearances and had them checked on exhaust gas analyzers but never really got rid of that bloody annoying on/off surging in the lower rev range. Very annoying in traffic and slow speed maneuvers. So I removed the beige relay, the one found near the fuses.Totally transformed the bike, feels very smooth at all revs and particularly at lower speeds. Pulls top gear from 1200 rpm and the surging has disappeared, this bike's a keeper.
, I renamed my 1100 'Sergio' , same problem as your bike Pathfinder. What does the beige relay do ? and should I be doing a relay removal to stop Sergio surging ?
