More black ?

You could always try painting the fork legs (mine were corroded) and powder coating the valve covers as below !

Hi PJ .just wondering where you mount the rocker switches for hazards . heated grips etc.,as the 1150 has them on the handlebar and 1100 on the facia . I'm in the process of changing my 850gs , Adventure wheels , forks , rocker cover , tank , beak , clocks , (why because I can ) etc ., panterg

I used the existing hole that is in the 1150 beak anyway and bought a round switch to fit, with a little bit of filing! Decided that the only one i needed was the hazard switch, as my bike doesnt have heated grips....i'm 'ard, me! The abs one is tucked away inside the fairing, but could easily fit it next to the other one or on the other side of the beak. Switch was a coupla quid from local auto parts place, just cut the old one off and re-soldered the wires, works a treat, looks neat, job done! :clap

1100 to 1150

Hi PJ , Thanks for the info , do you know what make and where from ?(switches) , Apparently B*W do a pad that mounts on the h/bar clamps of the 1150GSA and has two rocker switches , ps,.fitting GSA forks and r/covers this week , Regards Glenn (panterg)

Very nice lookingbike indeed:thumb

There's something very sexy about the shape of an Adv tank.....it just sort of looks 'right'.

I bet that bike'll cause some frowns and doubletakes if you bring it to one of the meets :D

PS I've got two 1150 beaks in my loft if anyone wants them to have a go at an 1100-1150 facelift......all money to the Bansang wall appeal (one MPY and one unpainted)

I'd suggest

A black Bashplate... (but then.. I would) :thumb

I just went to my local auto parts place and had a dig around, just found the old box in my bin!! I need to tidy up!!!!
Its a Pearly Wot Nots rocker switch, on/off round mini. PWN560.
The bar code number; 5014002088909 :nenau
I think most places have these pearly bits in a rack, usually charge you £3 for a spade connector :nono you know what i mean?
I have since seen a much nicer one in the brochure i got from a pukka auto electrical firm in Ilkeston, i'll try to find the link. That ones red....

Screens a MRA Vario, expensive but well worth the money
Yellow bits are Touratech Hard parts to reinforce the gearbox mounts
