I've just bought and fitted a set of TT dropped footrests, in the package was a gear lever, which moves the lever out and forward from it's original position. Only problem is, that it's for an 1150, and having removed the exhaust to get at the gear lever, it won't fit on the 1100. Does anyone make a gearlever to fit the 1100 perhaps I could look at a custom job........any suggestions

Thanks

Rob

Hey - I bought that package too! And gave away the lever to someone on here... Bloody TT descriptions!

There was enough adjustment in the standard lever to move it to a position where my size 47s could use it perfectly happily. I had more problems adjusting the brake lever to somewhere that made me happy, to be honest. I ran with the pegs set low for a while and then raised them back to the top and discovered that the wider pegs were more comfortable at the high setting than the low, and that the extra width still made them more comfortable than the standard pegs at that height. There was sufficient adjustment in the lever to make both the extreme settings usable.

Your mileage may vary, of course.

Looks like I'll be re-fitting the standard lever. It was a git to remove, as everything is well locktighted in. I suppose that at least I now have a definitive answer................

Thanks

Mine was just gummed up with road grime :( I had to get someone to hold the lever in place while I tried to separate the ball and socket joint on the little adjustable rod (and yes, this was after I took the locking clip off before anyone asks...)
