1100GS Cat or no cat ?

Not sure if I have a cat on my '98 1100GS. I've just had a look and I can't see any sensors connected to it.
Any idea's , I think not !

Do you have a large box under your gearbox? The two headers go in and the silencer comes out? If so then yes... If you just have a link pipe then no....

Yes, I have the large stainless box that looks to be integral with the standard tail section. The headers go into that.

Rob, if your 98 1100 was a UK spec model then it is unlikely to have a cat.

The large box the the rear muffler is part of is simply there to choke the poor thing to death.

I'm going to change the exhaust at some point. Just for weight saving, looks and better breathing. Not keen on any noise increase. Thanks for the advise, all .
