1100GS removing front indicators

Trying to figure out the best way to remove the front indicators on the 1100GS as I want to mount a set of GMT moto brackets.

It definately seems a bigger job than doing it on my old 1150. Had a look through the Haynes manual but I can't see it covered anywhere.

So what do I do?

Unscrew the lense, then the 2 screws holding the arm, then the wires then pull it out.

no - i have to take the whole stem off. seems to be a few threads on it but it's still a bit vague to me

Its a while since I did it but I removed the headlamp shell to reveal the nuts holding the flashers on. I think

headlight off, remove cover the underneath , then undo the nut that holds the stem on .

sounds easy doesn't it.. actually its a royal pain in the neck... but once you've got the headlamp off and can see what you're doing it becomes easier.

Yeah, makes sense once the light housing is loose. Job done but what a pain in the hole.....
