Just got a new set of throttle cables and on both the short cables that come from the splitter box the inner teflon(?) liner is sticking out beyond the cable ferrule. Checked with the supplier and they are all like that in their stores, thing is, the original cables on my bike aren't.
I've never seen a liner sticking out like this, and they are firmly fixed in place. On one of them the liner just comes out beyond the end of the adjuster, but the other one the liner sticks out about 30mm beyond the adjuster which doesn't seem right.

Just cut the liner? The throttle cables probably aren't OEM. I just had a look on eBay and the liner always seems to be sticking out a bit - but definitely not as much as with your cables.
