I can remember some time ago (years) someone had done a modification to a 1150 adv screen to enable it to be adjusted similarly to the standard 1150 screen.

Already done a search, but to no avail.

Does anyone know of the mod in question?

Many thanks

Not torbinators

It was a mod to the standard GSA screen which allowed it to be tilited slightly forward:thumb2

there was a mod on the 1100 screen adjusters that if you removed one half of the oval stop from either side it gace a wee bit more adjustment to the screen, but I haven't seen anything for a 1150GSA sorry and without either drilling new holes or elongating the holes on the leading edge I'm not too sure what can be done to honest.

Just fit standard 1150GS screen to a GSA. You can then adjust it and there's loads less wind blast and turbulance. Looks better too.

Ive got both the gs and the gsa screen and fittings.

Its the gsa screen I want to mod to be able to adjust it (without resorting to torbinators).

I'll keep trying, bound to come up with something:thumb2

do you mean something like this?

i had to do a similar thing after fitting fat bars and suffering clearance probs on full lock.

photo shamelessly nicked from adv rider HoW :D

p.s. i dont know if it affects the strength of the screen, but mine has broken or cracked yet.

Now were getting there...

That is the sort of mod Im thinking of.

Could you tell me how you managed it without shattering or cracking the screen?

The only thing I can think of is the dremil of a round file....SCAREY:eek:

Yeah, just elongate the holes using a dremel or similar... well thats what I did anyway, but I only needed to do mine a fraction to get the clearance.

I think there are a few threads on here about cutting and altering screens, best have a look first as the way I did it might not be best :D

Here's what I did with my GSA screen:

It gives you reasonable adjustability:
