My question is simple... (and prob been asked a few times before, sorry :o )

Is it worth trading in now and getting a 1150ADV with a view to upgrading to a 12ADV when they become available?
Or just keep with the Vara and get a 12ADV?

I know its subjective, but i am after feedback and opinions! Especially if someone had done the same!

. .

if you get the 1150, you won't want the 1200, so you'll save a fortune. :D

Vara

Stick with the Vara, its a Honda so it works, do your homework and read all the forum sections before commiting your hard earned, then when youv'e decided that the BMW is the one, keep the Vara.

Whoa there neddy.......

Little bit of info for you........

Going from an 1150Adv to a 1200Adv ain't no upgrade ;)

Carry on

No offence meant about the upgrade...

I was asking because i recently test rode a black 1150ADV. I got off feeling slightly deflated as i have been wanting one for ages :( and it felt it was lacking in a few areas.

anyhow, thanks for all followups....

It very often takes a good long ride on a GSto start gelling with it......do a quick search for 'first ride' etc here and have a read.....the different indimacators and feel of a flat twin, and in particular the power delivery and feel of the overall bike always seems to take some time to get used to and then all of a sudden people start grinning widely......

I'd recommend another ride, do some varied roads and give yourself a good few hours.....If you're not grinning by the time to get back, call 999 and get yerself on a heart monitor asap ;)

:D

Thanks FANUM,

Defo going to get another spin and this time on a much more varied route.
One thing i loved was the handling and suspension - sublime!
