1150 Adventure with no RID ?

It's a very early one....standard GS tank (an option initially) and the RID was an option.
 
They're a canny lot the Germans... and if truth be told the RID isn't essential. Handy - yes. But.. if mine went wrong I wouldn't be heartbroken nor would I go out of my way to replace it. unless a replacement was cheap and readily available.
 
Pardon my ignorance, but what is the RID?

Rider Information Display, or to put it simply, the box that shows your gear, oil pressure, the clock and fuel level

Hmmm not essential, but more than just "handy"....It's really odd to see a bike with it not fitted (Luke's piccy is probably the first I've seen without it in fact)

I know its not an 1150... but a way to use up the space if you're not replacing a faulty one.
