My bike is kept outside and normally ridden every day for work and some weekends. Over the last few weeks it hasn't been used as the brakes needed an overhaul, the ignition loom needed a wire soldered and an MOT was required.
All sorted last Saturday so went for a ride in the afternoon. On a couple of occasions the clutch action felt odd, as though maybe something was sticking or their was a problem with the hydraulics as the resistance was different, it cleared after a while so wasn't too bothered. Today when I went to leave for work it felt odd again and wouldn't disengage fully but I got up the road and all seemed okay. As I came into work it wouldn't disengage and when I pumped the lever it suddenly lost pressure which when investigated found that one of the banjo fittings to the top of the slave cylinder was leaking.
Now, I think that the leak isn't the main problem but as a result of it so, first thing is to sort the leak and try again, but I think that I'm just putting off the inevitable gearbox removal.
Will let you know the outcome.
