Any advise would be great :aidan

What happen is as follows

On Start (not all the time)
Open the choke, hip the start button, all fire up okay, but then dies.
On starting again, it takes a while to catch.... (and sound like it might not)

Gave it some extra trottle the other day, which worked, but would like to find the cause.

It's a 02 with 20k miles.... just been serviced, and was told battery was fine ??

Any advise :nenau

You may have lack of fuel reaching the injectors.

See if you have all the fuel hoses without any obstruction. The fuel filter is inside the tank and I never touched it, so I can't really advise there.

Keep us posted and good luck

non starter

have you ever changed the fuel filter? if you relied on the dealers they probably havent! 'cos it's a pain!. change this any way and will be a good start to sorting it.

when you turn on the bike you are supposed to give it approx 2/3 seconds before hitting the starter button:thumb2

this is so it can set itself, i suppose abs, fuel pump, oil pump etc....before being ready to actually fire up:nenau

but i'm sure more learned folks will sort you out.:augie

Thanks for the reply
Will check the Fuel lines etc. I reckon the filter could be the problem. Will get this changed, and let you know

Thanks again to all for the advise.... much apprecaited :)
