Bought my bike new in January and now covered 5.5k. As I could not make Hawes on the bike on Saturday, I rode over Sunday. On the way home, going through the Trough of Bowland in torrential rain, I had a total front brake failure. The lever simply came back to the bars! Pumping it restored the brake slightly but the situation soon returned.
On arriving home I bled the front brakes and all appears to be fine now. I will get the brakes inspected fully under warranty at the 6000 mile service in a couple of weeks. Could air have been in there since new, and just formed an airlock? Could air get in elsewhere even though I cannot find a leak? Could it be water in the system? Anyone out there had the same problem? Any ideas?
