Changed the battery on the GS and fired her up in the garage - no problem.

This morning reluctant to start even though battery at full power. Eventually started with full choke. Set off (I know not enough warm up time but I was late for work). Pulled out of a junction - no power then full power. Warmed up and slid choke in running rough so went back home ad she cut out. Was running perfectly before changing the battery and on test after putting the new one in.

All I can think is I have pinched a fuel hose putting the tank back in place and she started the first time due to the fuel left in the hoses. other than that I have no idea right now.

Anybody got any suggestions as she is supposed to be taking me to Europe next week.

PS. Was fun riding the Husky into work though.

Look in the technical section - oilhead info and tips - why is my bike running rough.

Cheers - will try to escape work early and see what I f@#ked up. Bit worried about the catching fire thing in the other thread - exactly how did that happen?

Watch this space.

+1 for me toooooo (very recently). Felt like right idiot, but was easy to resolve

+1 for me too, plastic sleeve sitting on top of the metal end sleeve. I also felt like a right idiot. Rode to work today and she was fine, now if only fixing the bloody jeep was that easy.

Thanks guys

I can t believe no-one actually posted the important pictures... There was a time where this wouldn't have made it past 2mins without a bunfight to get those pictures up there  :thumb

I never pre warm my bikes. Of course thrashing is bad but tickover is also rough on a cold engine. Especially a big twin.
