1150 GSA tank range

275 max on my tank, except once going through the Mauritanian fuel tester 300 miles accross the Sahara. 40 mile commute a/b roads fast traffic.

I remember having the float out my R1100S once and bending it slightly putting it back in - it went super pessimistic after that. Have to run your tank dry? As the others have said, what's the miles to litre working out at?

The 30 litre tank on my GSA gives around 320 miles driving solo but spirited (no not single Malt). The low fuel guage would be lit but I never need to put the maximum 30 litres in. That's loaded and with camping gear. Heavy traffic might be a concern but not by much, and individual bikes do vary. I think the lower top and first is actually advantageous, not having to change down to overtake at motorway speeds and smoother take of at low speed. I have not noticed much difference between the standard GS and the GSA when out riding with other bikes. Driving styles can affect fuel consumption.
What silencer/exhaust do you run, Mine's standard.

You're not kidding, there... I've emptied a GSA tank in as little as 166 miles - the engine died as I turned into the petrol station. Just over 31 litres was put into the tank but I had been caning it for almost all of those miles.

I can believe that Paul
