1150 HID

Bought a Acumen HID kit from Stealer yesterday- £50! bargain i thought until i went to fit it. Do i have to cut the back if light cover to fit? and do i use the relay and 40 ft of wiring!! supposed to be plug in and go but connections look different- ran out of light so didnt get to finish it!

Anyone fitted this kit?

its yes to cut out
no to relay as the dip is on the left and the hi is on the right
so no relay needed


h1 bulb

if you have a h4 set up with relay sell it too a r1100gs ride
or get an h1 bulb

Are your kits plug and play ?? as the one i have isnt
a few extra wires and different connections?

this is h1 hid bulb ...r1150gs type

this is h4 ........r1100gs type

are you expecting to be able to just swap the 'bulb'?

a hid lamp will require the ballast wiring in as well, it does all plug into the existing wiring though

No not just replace bulb, the kit i fitted to my ZZR 1100 was plug n play no hacking wires etc easy fit, this kit will need wires chopping to make fit and seems to be a H7 kit not H1??

Prob best to take back to dealer and get another from someone who knows whats wot!!
