On an early 1150 GS (2000 - V plate) this bike has iABS, I assume this means integrated ABS - does this in turn mean that its not possible to turn the ABS off like on early 1100 models?

Are there any problems with this set up?

I always thought the ABS on the earliest 1150s was identical to that on the 1100. with the big change happening in 2002 with the servo assist at which point the two became integrated so you can't have one without the other.

in other words you definitely do NOT have iABS. you have ABS2

there should be a button next to the clocks or somewhere in the cockpit area with the ABS sign on it - this is what you use to switch it off. By pressing it and holding it down while turning the key and pressing the start button (I think)

On an 1150GS the abs on/off button is on the R/H handlebar switch gear.

Turn on/off as per instructions in the owners handbook.
