Plugged my heated jacket in this morning, rode off to work. Realised after a while that the jacket was not warm. Pulled over switched off the engine, and the clock went out
Checked that the jacket was plugged in all the way, fretted that the battery was perhpas on it's way out. Bike started, clock works but displays. 00:0
Now it's lunchtime I went out and took the seat off, the 15 amp fuse has blown. Strikes me as odd that the fuse would seem to power the clock when the ignition is off, but not when the ignition is turned on.
I'll put a multimeter across the jacket terminals tonight, to see if that's the cause.
