Saw a thread the other day from someone enquiring about putting a lead onto the battery for additional accessories .
I was intending to add one to my GSA for use of an Air compressor among other things. So i popped one on today, I was just going to leave it hidden under the seat ,but I Put one into the side panel. Seen then on the RTs but not on a GS/ GSA . really simple to do . I went for a Din type socket , I did this so I could use a Din plug to a cigarette size socket lead, I had one of these and it gives my options of using both plugs.

Make an 18mm hole. Fit the din socket, Connect cables to rear of socket and tighten up the lock nut. Run the cables round to the battery , make sure theres enough length obviously! Thread cables under the tank into the battery compartment area. Connect red cable to the red pole on the frame mount after removing the red cap. Black goes to negative on the battery. Side panel bank on .Job Done

This obviously by passes the canbus system and allows me to use items like an airman mini compressor etc

On the twin cam you could by a kit to do just that, fitted
With a plug to split out the existing wiring to the beak socket, wonder why they don’t do a kit for the LC?

Neat job

I've done the exact same on my last two GSA's, It's the perfect spot for it!:thumby:
