The haynes book of myths goes very quiet on the subject of changing the fluid inside the servo. I guess there's a seperate circuit in there, from what I've read on here and gleamed from the owners book.

Is there a how to change this without inducing the ABS system into termainal failure?

I looked but didn't see one...appologies if there's one here already

Have a look at this http://users.rcn.com/dehager/service/service_abs3.pdf
I have used it to bleed the brakes on my '03 1150 and found it quite straightforward.I didn't bother with the wooden blocks, just left the pads in. You use the servo itself to pump fluid through the system (by applying the brakes) but be very careful not to let the levels drop in the servo. Have a syringe with fluid in it ready to keep topping the levels up.
Hope this helps:thumb2

You would not believe how much it cost's to do this in the dealers.
