1150 suspension on an 1100?

A mate of mine wants to upgrade the suspension on his 94 1100, he has got his hands on some shocks from a 1150 adv, will they fit?

Front will, rear won't.

They will fit although are around 1" longer which will raise the ride height and affect the main and side stands.

wot he said, the rear has a different fitting at the bottom.

but they would be longer & the stands would be too short anyway as tim says.

I had my Ohlins rear changed to an ADV fitting a few years ago and forgot
