Hi,

Searched the site (and others) for this info, but couldn't find it anywhere.

Is it possible to fir the 1200GS vario panniers to an 1150GS Adventure? If so, what sort of mounting kit is required? Can the topbox also be fitted?

Also, can the 1200GS Adventure BMW aluminium topbox be fitted to an 1150GS Adventure (I know you can get 1150GSA racks for the 1200GSA panniers from Holan, but couldn't find anything about the topbox)?

Thanks,

Paul.

:blast

The man has asked a sensible question (to which I don't know the answer) - it's not a "my pannier choice is better than yours" thread...

...and even if it were you'd both be wrong as I've got the best ones. :upyou

Hi Paul,
I don't know the answer - but I suspect that if you haven't found any answers it's likely that it's because there are no 'off the shelf' solutions. You could probably take the existing 1200 mounts to a local small works place and have it chopped around and welded to the right sort of shape to fit the 1150. Best solution I can suggest. :thumb2

Look at the above and all will be revealed (does not include the top box though)

Yep, saw that, which is what I meant when I said this:

maybe some kind soul could post a piccy of the 1200gsa topbox plate and topbox fittings, I would imagine it may just need some additional holes and maybe spacers and it'll fit the 1150gsa after all it's just a plate ?

Its not a flat plate, though I`m sure someone with the knowledge/tools could make something suitable

anything is possible it'll just need some thought and effort. I made my own brackets for a top box plate and lights.

Just get your pencil & tape measure out

The Adventure top box is a pain in the rear end....you are actually better off just with panniers and a stuff bag actross the back end. That has more volume and lower. I have a topbox, so know from first hand. Everyday, it stays on as it is hany for small items. On long trips when I use the panniers for camping , then off the topbox comes and I use a stuff bag.
