1150GS wheels = 1150GSA wheels = 1100GS Wheels ?

I've done a couple of searches but haven't come across the answer I'm looking for.

I'm looking to get a second set of wheels for my 2003 1150GS (ABS). My current ones I rode through the last Scottish winter and thought I'd done enough to counter the salt. Chalk up my first newbie lesson, they are a pitted mess.

Looking to buy some wheels in better nick for summer and then revert to my ruined wheels again for winter.

I've seen some 1100GS wheel and some 1150GSA wheels. From what I can see they look the same size. I just need any info to confirm that is the case and any "gotcha"'s about using them on my bike.

Of course if anyone has other suggestions for fixing my current wheels then feel free to hit me over the head with them. TIA

but a few thoughts

my 02 adv has non-servo abs, the abs ring on the front has 5 x 5mm holes and not the more common 8 mm
the holes aren't countersunk
the back abs ring has 5 x 5mm countersunk holes

I think the sevo abs rings mount to the disc ??

what does yours have ???

to get the correct bits for mine was a right pain in the arse

not even bmw could get it right

All the 1100 and 1150 wheels are interchangeable IIRC. The only difference is in the ABS rings.
You can fit the ABS rings on the non ABS wheels because the mounting is still there.

Not necessarily true.

All the wheels are the same ( ADV wheels are cosmetically different), but you have to have matching ABS rings for your wheel.

You can't mount the early ABS rings onto a later wheel, but you can fir the later rings onto an early wheel, as they use the same mounts as the disc .

But you may find you have perculiar ABS problems with different ABS rings from your original type.
