Hello,
I have a problem with my 1150GSA 2005.
I've just taken off my rear wheel off to adjust and then grease the paralever bushing kit. I've come to put it back together and the there is a noise from inside the driveshaft housing as the driveshaft is rubbing as I turn the wheel. I have removed the bevel drive or which the back UJ comes out as well, sure enough inside the tunnel I can see rubbing and aluminium swarf. It might have been doing it before (I suspect it has been judging by the swarf).
The previous owner fitted a RT gearbox, I don't know if that causes any issues?
What do you think is going on?
What can I do?
Many thanks
Ash

First, where in the swingarm is the driveshaft rubbing ?.

Pull the driveshaft out, or push and pull on the driveshaft to see if there's any play at the front U/J.

Thank you for that.

Pulling it in and out it had about 30mm of play, which made me think that the front UJ had come undone from it's clip on the gearbox output shaft, so I put a block of wood against the end of the shaft and gave it a reasonable tap with a large hammer and now it's not moving in and out at all. I've put the bevel drive back on and no rubbing. Thanks Steptoe for pull/push advice, hopefully that's it sorted. I'll road test it tomorrow.

I road tested it today, it's running like a dream.
