Hi chaps.i recently replaced the battery on my 02 1150gsa. when replacing the battery i had to lift up the fuel tank and that caused for throttle cable got out of the place and misfiring. i think it s very common. i put it back then the bike run ok.

my new problem is the bike running like under power. When i rev it to 3000 and above it seems that it reaches to its full throttle point and sounds very loudly if i go above of 3000rpm every time. I did a motronic reset and helped a bit but still doesnt sound like it used to be.

does anyone know what the symptoms are likely to be?

throttle cables

you've almost certainly dislodged one of the throttle cables, see post 6 here for a pic

And i also forgot to mention that there is slightly a new vibration on the handle bar which annoys u. Any idea what to look for this .

The cable was put back to normal position again.

I did not disconnect any fuel lines as i did not lift it up completely. :nenau

Ah, I did not read your post properly apologies. You may have dislodged the throttle cable at the splitter box which is tucked away under the battery tray

What u say is all about the throttle cable nothing with the motronic . Then ill check the cable again. Hope it works. Cheers:thumb2
