1150gsa niggle and question.

My '03 1150gsa seems to have a fuel gauge that works backwards - the lower the fuel level, the more it registers on the dash! Also, is it possible to get a right hand switch gear with both the heated grips switch and lights? I ride with my lights on but it would be nice to be able to switch them off.

Clean the contacts on the potentiometer.i used a light action with a wire wool and had no problems since

don't know about the tank gauge as for the lights the early switches fit but I can't remember what year they was fitted till ( it was either 02/03 when they removed the option of turning your lights off)

Yep my 02 still has the switch, never realised the later ones didn't. Wonder why it was removed ?

I've a 52 plate with a June 2002 build date and both switches fitted.

EU regs later required constant side lights but don't know when it was introduced.

Thanks - will give it a go As for the light switch issue, I think I will leave things as they are - first bike with heated grips and I want to try them out this winter.

You can retro fit the older 1150 switchgear to the newer bikes.

The loom plugs are different so you'll need to do plenty of soldering changing them.
