12k service at Lloyd Motorrad Carlisle AND a new front Metzeler Tourance next ..... £298. 
New left bar switch under warranty also bled back brake cos it was spongy! Wee bit cheaper than some.

Spark plugs, air filter and brake fluid - £425. I'm out of warranty and I want to keep my BMW service record but I'm very tempted to go independent. RWH in Lincoln could be getting a call this week
Go to Mark Holden in Chantry Lane Bromley Green BR2 9QL .. he has done my bike for the last 2 years and I am sure many others here use him too .. he is a top bloke and a top mechanic with it. Seriously, no business connection just a very happy repeat customer ... look him up.

Your paying for a oil change and filter and “ plugs” that it don’t really need and a air filter, camshaft I haven’t known anyone ever finding one out of spec , fluids a visual check and pads , all in all £60 oil and filters the rest you can have peace of mind that it’s cost you £320 for a rubber stamp in the book . BMW condition buyers into thinking you have to keep it fully service by the dealer and not only is there 6000 and 12000 but they throw in a annual service you need to have , I did 67000miles on my new2010 gs and serviced it my self in 4 1/2 years which would have cost me over £3,000 in that time it’s all down to personal preference and ability but at the end of the day it’s not rocker science and you do get self satisfaction in doing it yourself
