HI ,Does anyone know what the price will be of the aluminium panniers and top box of the new 1200 adventure..many thanks... :clap

In Sweden they are listed at 3785 skr a piece for left and right, the mounting hardware is standard equipment so it is not listed. The topbox is 3740skr+ mounting hardware around 1200 Skr. We have a 25%VAT so perhaps you can get away a little cheaper because of that.

Saw these prices on the dutch GS-forum:

Side cases +/- 1100,- EUR (incl. all mounting brackets, ...)
Top case 460,- EUR

I took this foto yesterday at the Dutch introduction of the Adventure, R1200S, etc. It's  can't wait.

I think Kit Slot Set means ingnition key-alike, otherwise you get 7 different keys?

My dealer says around £1000 - including £250 for the fixtures which are not as tidy as the fixtures on the standard bike but then the fixtures on the 1150adv are pretty ugly too.
I suppose they need all that extra support for their off-road ruggedness.

£1000 for a set of panniers?

I think I've just slipped into a parallel universe.

Nobody in my world needs or buys panniers that cost £1000.00, I must have been transported to another world :nenau

Another reason why I cancelled my 1200GSA......... a grand for a set of panniers...FFS :spitfire

Nothing short of daylight robbery if you ask me?

OK, you dont have to buy them and I accept that, but its the principle.

Still, they will still sell them to some people that clearly have more money than sense!

They must be gold plated, with diamond encrusted fixings or something.

I'm sure most GSA owners will find that they 'need' the panniers:D

If it's £1000 for the 3 pieces it's about the same price as the 1150ADV aluminium luggage and Metal Mule. Very expensive!

I'll stick with the System 3 piece set on my 1150 that I originally bought new in 1998 with the 1100.

All in, the bikes gonna be £12,000 (including panniers of course)! but thats only £650 more than a similar spec on the 1200 regular apparently.
The panniers are a bargain on that basis.
Is it all getting out of hand?
