1200 GS ENGINE COVER

hi folks carrying out some winter projects, am trying to get my engine cover off to paint it, its the front cover i have it stripped down and its ready to pop off, this cover is stuck to my engine that much iam at that point where sumits gonna break anybody been here before or any ideas cheers...

Do you mean cylinder head cover or front cover were the alternator belt is

thats the problems matey am a great fan O the hammer, its the front cover below alternator belt....

BMW use some sort of seal that nearly bonds the cover on, get yourself a rubber mallet or use a block of wood as a drift.
