What jack do you use when you split the bike in half for a clutch job etc, under the sump?

FlapJacks, six or seven on the beak to keep the front end down. 
Don't forget to replace each one consumed with an old brake pad: Front or rear before you ask, because it doesn't matter.

I use a strap over the telelever wishbone (secured onto either side of my bike lift) to pull the front down, although once you remove all the back of the bike the front tends to stay down on its own, so the strap is more about peace of mind than anything else.

As has been said,
With no panniers on the bike is nose heavy.
Centre stand down, ratchet strap front wheel to stand. rear is up in the air, comence strip down of rear end.

How and why? - Total and utter stupidity when removing wheels for a tyre change (it's not even as if I've never had the wheels out before)
How did I get it back off the floor? - Dunno, it's still there as I type
I need to work something out by Saturday when I pick my wheels up.............Wish me luck

Two people, car and a tow rope. One stands on centrestand, pulls up on the rear of the bike as normal for putting on the centrestand while the other pulls the bike back with tow rope. Tell the driver to stop when it's up.
OK, it was just a thought..........
Maybe Schtum's idea is better.

Today ive purchased an under sump bike lift, time to get the welder out and modify it ready to re- assemble the bike.

I had a ratchet strap from the roof down and around the cylinder head covers on both sides of the bike to stop if falling over sidewards and the engine/gearbox supported by a trolley jack with a block of wood under the catalytic converter.
There is not much weight on the jack.
The back of the bike is easily wheeled around once everything is disconnected (leave the rear wheel on)
I do have a photo but only on my phone.

The main stand is attached the rear frame, and which isn't attched to the front of the bike when removing the gearbox.

Tried and tested by Earache and me on his 1150. ISTR we rolled it over onto a tyre.

I did exactly the same thing when changing tyres on a mate's Pan European.
I managed to get a trolley jack either side (I think it was under the footrest hangers) and lifted each side a bit at a time until I was able to swing the centre stand down. Job done!

This is what i was going to do, but when the engine is out,its hanging off the front telelever and nowt else, i now have a jack to sit under the sump, so i can wheel the rear end away, cos with the 1200 the stand is on the rear sub frame,unlike the 1150 where the stand affixes to the sump, which makes life a little easier.
Also i note the rear lamp dangling, cos the stoopid twats didnt put a plug where it would be handy where the bike splits in two.
