Keep checking those windscreen adjuster plastic knobs... they work loose no matter how hard you tighten them (hence the chrome dome nuts on the inside... so you don't lose 'em!)
Just sold my 1200 GS-A
14,500 miles in just over four months, absolutely no problems at all

... a great 'bike and much better than the 1150... but not as solid or as well made. The 1150GS-A was the real 'Tonka' toy... the 1200 can never be! The 1200 much better to ride though. Quicker, smoother and handles better
Dislikes of the 1200GS-A...
1) Very harsh transmission snatch
2) Very clunky in first or second
3) Overall styling great but very 'bitty' with plastic covers here, plastic covers there... here a bit, there a bit!
4) Windscreen great... on the motorway and fast A roads, but for the very sharp twisties, over brows etc. much distortion looking through the screen, and at 5' 10" I had to
5) Suspension on the fast A roads, on der Nürburgring, great, but on the back roads up to 50mph absolutely bloody awful
6) It's the dirtiest 'bike I have ever ridden
7) Not done owt yet that the 650 wont do...
