Bit disappointed today, phoned the dealer to enquire about my new bike, I'm second on the list. Told it would be delivered the 17th week, FFS that means they're rollin out 1 bike a month, and it's not just here. the Demonstrator and the first private sale arrive on the 25th of March. Have been without my Moto since November. The first time in 22years without a bike in the garage. Feel like I'm in Cold turkey its Fcknugi awful :(

A certain person of my acquantance has already had one out on test........yet to hear what it was like though ;)

I guess I'll have to stand with all the rest of the plebs on launch day, and just kick the tyres, with them.... :( But keep me posted if you hear anything :thumb

From the info I got recently March 24 is the official launch in the Republic.

A demonstrator will be available from then.

Although I'm well up the list my delivery is not scheduled until May :( :( (early May I hope ;) )

Serves you right for selling your bike to early :dabone

Just back from the dealer. He said if I order one now, I'd be lucky to get it between Sep/Oct/Nov....

Over here I ordered mine at the 9th of November. I'm second on the list. The first one ordered at my dealer is scheduled to be delivered in week 18. Mine has no production date yet. They are trying to get the first two sold per dealer shortly after the introduction date of the 25th of March.
It's more likely at the moment that the first sold bikes will roll out in May...

I was in the original batch of orders from my local dealer, confirmed pretty much as soon as I returned from seeing the bike at NEC. My delivery date is confirmed for w/b 16th April ...

... same dealer will take delivery of demo bike and first customer bike for 25th March launch ...

... now if only BMW would confirm the availability and pricing of the pannier kits at delivery time I'd be happy.

So given its snowing nicely at the moment, 6 weeks or so doesn't sound too much longer ;-)

I am 5th on local dealers list, ordered for next Sept 06 but they have confirmed delivery will be May if I should want it early..

The dealer already should have your production/delivery date ... the BMW computer system provides it for all logged (confirmed) entries.

The only unknown is their demo bikes as they are logged by BMW and the dealer doesn't get to know which bike from the batch BMW UK has on order will be delivered to them.

My Wk.16 date is due to a good bit of salesmanship by the dealer ... I went in a week or two before the NEC and test rode another 1200GS, came back sure of order but held off because of the NEC rumours. Kept in touch intending to decide on model after NEC, when I got back they'd already ordered provisionally. Pretty safe anyway, even if I'd gone for the GS instead of GSA, doesn't look like they'd have a problem getting rid of an early delivery bike ;-)

I was hoping to get mine on launch day, 25th March. But won't get it until first week of April :( Still, it gives me time to ride standard and ADV back to back to make sure its the ADV that I want. Wollastons told me the launch is over 2 days. Saturday and Sunday. 2 days testing better than 1 :clap

Just been to put a deposit down - showing on the factory system for delivery end of May. All I have to do now is wait for a test ride to see if I really do want it :)

Placed an order last August (well it was always going to be made) I was given a build date for late May and delivery date early June. I went mad when I found out some bikes were being deliverd in April. So now have one being delivered on the 27th of April. It pays to moan.

Checked with my dealer yesterday (Barry Robson) and he said mine is still on track, he said infact youurs has changed to code 1200 whatever that means, he said i could not change the spec even if i wanted to, because its production cycle is moving, fingers crossed.............
