I'm a bit confused as to why you seem to be slating the OP (and everyone else) because he wants to improve the performance of his bike. Just because you do not buy into it , it doesn't mean people who do it are idiots. Removing the cat makes the bike much nicer to ride so where the problem in that? It doesn't make it an R1 but it's huge improvement from the factory offering.

Your ridiculous initial response deserves the ridicule which has been heaped on you by us clowns because the OP asked a technical question in the technical section. Great way to endear yourself to UKgser by calling most of the posters idiots. End of......

Recently bought a set of remus decat headers and silencer for my gs adventure.

Seems that the lambda sensors on the headers are in the wrong place and catch on the crash bars!!!
Are the sensors in a different place on the standard gs headers? have i ended up with normal 1200gs front pipes?
Any help apreciated.

Did you get the headers second hand or are your crash bars aftermarket? The original Remus headers had the sensors in the wrong place for for bikes fitted with crash bars and so they were changed and some makes of aftermarket crash bars can also fowl the sensor.

You will notice the difference as the Remus headers will smooth out the mid range.

I'm absolutely minted btw and a crap rider to boot, so I just throw my money at anything that comes on the market...so I look dead fast.....and Now I'm also a clown ( first time I've been given a title)

you become a troll-clown ( hey, a new phrase, I wonder if I could get a sticker made up - worth spending my excess money on )

And happy to track day with you, though only running a 600 these days, sure you wont though! shall we say brands indy in the new year or Cadwell, whatever I dont mind, only UK track I have not done is Pembrey so we could go there if you want some advantage?

Never had any problems with my Remus headers and OEM bars on an 07 ADV.

Are you certain the headers are Remus......there's no markings on them, and you can get copies on eBay.
