Well,

For reasons we won't go into, my bike got knocked over y'day.

Result was one windscreen hinge pin broken and two handguard link bits broken.

I think these are designed as "weakest link".....

Made me think it would be wise to have a pair of each in the box when going on tour, easy to fit and save shagging around with cable ties.

I've replaced the plastic hand guard bits with flexible rubber bits - means the hand guard can move around the bar a bit without breaking anything.

Nice idea, I might make up a few pieces from Pepsi bottle lamiated (3 layers!)!

BTW, your GPS ball is zackly where mine is. When said drama occurred, the bike fell on the back of a car, screen flexed hard to port, and inside of screen was scraped by contact with rh end of GPS! Screen was flexed jaw-droppingly, but came back no prob.

Scrape is subject of polishing and elbow grease at present, any advice appreciated.....
