I have fitted my new Motech bars to my 1200 - very nice they look, too.
Everything looked ok until I tightened all the bits. I then found that the front top left-hand bracket was resting on the oil cooler feed pipe. I have added a spacer between items 5 & 6 on Nippy's download instructions (Item 15 from http://www.nippynormans.com/pdf.asp ). You can see from the diagram that it's the bracket which touches the feeder pipe.
Might be worth a looksee if you've got the same bars.
