It's actually a sad state of affairs that people do worry more about problems than enjoying the bike. It doesn't matter what camp your in or whether these issues are real and widespread or perceived, BMW needs to sort it out. The real stuff should be easy enough but they have a lot of work to do on the perceived. Too many years of the same old things breaking on the Hexhead bikes is going to be tough to overcome.

Controllers should not crash, Ever! When they crash it is either shitty code or it is seeing information it can't make sense of, I.E a sensor or some other hardware fault. If it is very rare and isn't dangerous them I guess it could be livable with. Anything other than that though and it needs to be looked into and fixed.
