1200GSA BMW Warranty question

Just had a pair of Pilot Road 2`s fitted to my K1200 GT by John Clark Dundee, £220 fitted ! So it all depends if you get the right dealer.............
Bloody good service in my book.

Just a quick question while were on the subject....my GS/A was ordered without Traction control , ESA or ABS mainly as i'm a luddite and i want less things to wear out go wrong(didn't like the ABS on my K100 either) am i right in thinking my brakes are not linked?

Couldn't you put the bike on the centrestand, grab the front brake lever and try to turn the rear wheel by hand? If it turns, you don't have linked brakes.

As for the original post, are we going to discover who the Dick Turpin of BMW dealers is then ???

He must have moved South .... one of my Commercial repair agents in Doncaster used to employ him.....and he had the audacity to ask for a reference!!

Name the dealer...

Disc should be under warranty.

Anybody can remove the wheels and fit tyres without invalidating the warranty.

Tyres should be sub £200 fitted.

Pads £14 and take 10 minutes to fit.

Sounds like a £500 robbery.

Name the dealer.

North Oxford BMW my friends. In my mate's defence, he didn't know any better, and he didn't come to me for advice, so they led him merrily up the garden path.

He's gonna be making a call to them in the morning to give them both barrels. Not a happy chappy!

I've only been to NOG once...got a price to change on my 06 Gsa about 18 months ago while working briefly in Oxford...

.....they were nowhere near the other quotes I had been given at the time by other dealers!!....

.....but I tend to only hear good things on the grapevine about them, so I'm a little suprised by this.

Spoke to my buddy this morning, apparently they've already started procedings to have his bill reinbursed under warranty. Happy days, not such a bad bunch after all!!!

Bill reduced to £200 for the tyres.

Me too, other dealer offered me £1000 more on part/ex so bought from them!!
