1200GSA Fuel Tank Removal

This has probably been covered before, but i couldnt find anyhting, so apologies in advance.

Anyone got any tips on removing the fuel tank on the 1200 GS Adventure? Do the crash bars need to come off first? Is it pretty much the same procedure as the tank on the 1200GS?

Crash bars don't need to be removed. Air intake gets in the way - see http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101989

thx for the link clive.

havent got a clue where the air intake snorkel thing is or how it gets in the way, but reckon i'll be finding out sat morning...and probably swearing a lot too.
