Ive bought panniers for my 2016 1200r [same panniers as the 1200rs s1000xr} they came with no locks. Question is are the lock barrels on these panniers different to those [aluminium] on the gsa which i had a few years ago. The lock barrels I’ve now bought seem too long? And wont sit all the way in ?? Help / advice appreciated

Possibly a little late on this one, but ran into exactly this before Le Mans last week so posting if it helps anyone else! Long story short they're different.

Locks on the Aluminium GSA panniers are "fatter" at the end - the flat bar goes across the full diameter of the lock barrel. R1200 plastic panniers have a "pointier" end and almost seem to step down and at least by my attempts they aren't interchangeable.

(I Ended up pulling the barrel out of the Nav mount which I wasn't using, bonus I didn't need to re-key it!)
