Had a little off this morning…

Nothing too major; was halfway round an uphill RH hairpin when I grabbed the front brake as a car was coming the other way - Cue me toppling onto the RHS & ending up with the bike falling onto the earth bank and snapping the RH windscreen bracket that connects to the slider pin.

I’ve stripped the screen off but can’t see any easy way to free the top screw holding the slider pin so that I can remove and replace the bracket.

Am I missing a trick or do I really have to strip the whole instrument and bodywork cluster to get to it?

Any advice gratefully received…

There's a YT video on replacing the bracket. Watch that and it'll be easy.
Wish I'd found it before I started to replace mine!

Is that the old American guy, Pacmoto?
Yeah, watched that & it makes the LH bracket look easy. I guess I just don’t want to go around filing flats onto bolts just to be able to remove them…

Looks like I might not have much choice, however.

I can't recal but wish I'd searched first as I pissed about for ages then searched YT. Once I found that video, it was easy.
The slide bracket thing is cheap on AliExpress.

It's not really that of a big deal to take the TFT and headlight off to do this. I've done it a couple of times the fit Puig ERS. There's another video here:
9:55 on shows the bracket coming off. The harder part for me was getting the headlight back on, but I have the OEM headlight protector, it changes the rubber bushes, without that it's not really much of a problem. I've done it without taking the light off but the TFT is hard to get back on with the limited space.

Managed to get to the Torx screws using the Pacmoto guys method of filing on a couple of flats, so grabbing a handful of low head head flanged bolts from work to replace them instead!

Aliexpress brackets ordered, so going to use the time until they arrive to give the bike a long overdue decent clean.
