1250 to 1300-Is it worth the upgrade ?

With all due respect You guys are idiots…Yes race bikes use forks but the reason is that race tracks are smooth unlike the roads we ride on so racebikes can use very stiff springs and dont encounter ripples while bottomed out…Telelever is way superior to any fork on not perfect pavement ! And if you cant drag your centerstand on your RS you need lots of training or will never be fast enough…The GS is a way better sports-tourer than either R or RS even if it does not look like it on paper !
Now speaking of idiots............

Perhaps if we just ignored him, then he would go away? My goodness, I have never heard such a pile of shite about anything, let alone motorcycles from any source! Boxerlust? Boxoftwats more like it!

Onahi

had to add to my ignore list…. Don’t like to do it, but the constant whining and repetition has finally got too much.
I know no one should have to be on ignore, but there is only so much bullshit one can take…..

ignore list now = 2.

I agree, If an individual is constantly posting content that you don't want to see, Then the Ignore button is your friend. I just don't understand the constant posts moaning about a member, when they can stop it?

although it would be good if someone could ban him to save us all the trouble. Absolute tosser who talks out of his arse.

All ?
I don't have any trouble with him ? I don't understand at ALL why anyone on an intraweb forum could get so bothered by it ?

You must have the patience of a saint @Onahi
Not really. I just don't get it ? And even more that we are now talking about it. :ROFLMAO: There are a couple of members on here that proper aggravate me, Their arrogance and bully boy tactics. But I wouldn't bother putting them on ignore. Every dog has his day !
Chill :beerjug:

Onahi appreciate you being an adult that has no problems with free speech and constructive criticism unlike most of these idiots that contribute Nothing coming out of the woodworks asking for censorship...Unbelievable how some people get so wound up about their new toy being scrutinized for obvious reasons and instead of coming with real arguments cry like little girls asking the kindergarten lady to protect them from evil...LOL I guess most motorcycle riders today are just as clueless as the average Joe in his Tesla or Prius...Too bad !

Just to make myself clear, i can see why you irritate so many here. I can see how you successfully rub those up the wrong way.
I find it somewhat amusing. I've never understood those that moan about it.
Keep on posting, im sure theres more members that appreciate your drivel, but chose to be silent on the matter, in fear of being targeted.

Onahi the reason I post on a english speaking forum is that most people speak english and can read english...I have been on a motorcycle for many seasons and like to ride...Not much but when I do fast because motorcycling is for me a sport. As for road bikes I love boxers with Telelever and shaftdrive as they are the best tools for the road...Off road or track riding there are better tools for obvious reasons...Like I said I love Boxers but love is not blind...I had high hopes for the new GS to move the goalpost and set a new benchmark for years to come...More power to make it more exciting and more high speed stability to be able to go Vmax with bags...More power it got but unfortunately also 10% taller gearing which makes the bike not faster than the old one up to 90mph or roll-on in top gear.OK you can always shift but power all the way to 9000 rpm would have been better and hopefully BMW is holding back for future M and S boxers ! The missing taillight is ugly but not a dealbraker...The linked footbrake is stupid as you cant make a turn on the steering lock anymore. But a smaller tank is a dealbraker...for me ! Of course they want to give buyers the reason to go for the future ADV version...But a lot of us did not want to go full fat again...Therefore 23-25 liters would have been perfect ! Also why are the new Vario bags smaller then the old ones...I rather have 6 liters more than a lightbulb inside...Oh well more idiots will put me on ignore...LOL Hope you have a good year despite all the sh*t going on in the world...It can only get worse but not much...LOL
Routin' for Putin'...Cheap energy & freedom !
2024 could become a good year after all...

I've been riding GS motorcycles since 1999. All versions in the evolution had/have enough power, for me. I do agree with the taillight though, thats a little weird.

Good luck for 24. Ride safe.
👍

Onahi my first GS was a '89 R100GS....Coming from japanese 4 cylinders...Had every GS generation since then as also R1100S & R1200S boxers...Boxerlust...LOL Only other bike I would consider is the S1000XR...Even if its against my Religion...LOL Have not gven up on the dream of a 160 hp GS boxer called M or XR with 17" wheels...Or a new version of the R1100S...All the best my friend and Yes I look forward to go to mexico again and ride like its 1999...LOL
