1250 to 1300-Is it worth the upgrade ?

With all due respect You guys are idiots…Yes race bikes use forks but the reason is that race tracks are smooth unlike the roads we ride on so racebikes can use very stiff springs and dont encounter ripples while bottomed out…Telelever is way superior to any fork on not perfect pavement ! And if you cant drag your centerstand on your RS you need lots of training or will never be fast enough…The GS is a way better sports-tourer than either R or RS even if it does not look like it on paper !
Idiots eh have you ever ridden Ginger Hall to Ramsay ?

Google it if you dont understand

Hahah is he on Boxertrix ? I havnt been on there for years, used to use it a fair bit (when I has an R1100S) I can imagine him ranting over there

I think i'm going to give it back and go for an M1000XR.

Hey kids.

And now we have the ultimate 1200 v 1300 test.

I haven't watched it yet but whatever he says must be correct as it was posted on UKGSer. Does he mention the self igniting stater motor relay?

The 1250 slays the 1200’s weak engine…🤣 The 1300 wont feel stronger at speeds up to 90 mph due to longer gearing and probably also less stroke despite having 15hp/nm more on the dyno…Bring on the comparison as the missing taillight, quiet exhaust, linked foot brake and smaller tank wont definitely not be on the plus side for the 1300 GS…😉 Bring on the R1400GS to convince even fan boys like myself to trade in the 1250…Close but no cigar yet 👍

Shame he is a shorty as although he mentioned marginally less legroom after my test ride I did think the legroom was too cramped for a GS but I am 6’1, i probably need to try it again.

His sound effects are like something of cbeebies!

You spout the same rubbish on multiple threads. What is the issue with not having a number plate light? What is the issue with a quiet exhaust, it's not a Harley? Bikes have had linked brakes for years, if you know how to ride, slow riding with linked brakes in not an issue. Are you sure that the linked brakes work below x mph, most are independent at slow speed. I am assuming nobody fell off slow riding whilst the testing was going on because of linked brakes. Smaller tank, most need a comfort break way before the tank is empty.

casbar , nothing against linked brakes as they are great as long as you have Both options..Linked if you use the hand lever , rear brake only if you use the foot ! I dont have to explain if you do a tight turn what happens if you use the front brake at steering lock…If you dont just try it and see what happens…🤣 As for a exhaust sounding as quiet/boring compared to the great boxerboom of the 1250…Sad as so much fun or emotion is missing. The missing taillight will make the beancounters happy but it looks like shite and might confuse some cage drivers who dont know if you want to turn or stop…Stupid ugly and dangerous. And small bladder or not a 19 liter tank kills any touring bike being forced to frequent stops or giving you anxiety in less populated areas…Very stupid as real riders will be forced to buy the Elephant in the room that will be the ADV…As much as I like the looks of the ADV and its big tank I kind of would prefer a lighter and smaller bike but with the right tank size that seems to be around 24 liters or at least 6 gallons to give you a 200 mile range even ridden enthusiastically…!
