1250 to 1300-Is it worth the upgrade ?

As for Motobob he talks a lot of nonsense…The 1250 is just as light or heavy as the 1300 if you pit in a Lithium battery and leave 1 liter out of the tank…As for the looks I think the 1250 looked more MAN-ly or more BMW which is a good thing in my book while the new one looks like it could have come from Asia…not good ! Smaller bags but lights inside…I rather have more volume.Same about the tank…Smaller to advertise less weight is plain stupid ! No word if the new ugly frame at least can do 145 mph with luggage without the death wobble of the 1250 which would be a big plus for the 1300…No word about the stupid foot brake that is linked to the front instead of leaving things alone…And looking at the rear seat the missus wont feel like a queen either and rather stay home which might be a good thing…🤣 No word about the better sound of the old one…Motobob is the equivalent of weak sauce 😉 But looking at his legs the 1300 is definitely the one for him 👍Real men have to wait for the ADV version and then maybe buy one of the last 1250 GS ADV models 🤣 We will see…Prepare to be disappointed 😉👍

casbar , nothing against linked brakes as they are great as long as you have Both options..Linked if you use the hand lever , rear brake only if you use the foot ! I dont have to explain if you do a tight turn what happens if you use the front brake at steering lock…If you dont just try it and see what happens…🤣 As for a exhaust sounding as quiet/boring compared to the great boxerboom of the 1250…Sad as so much fun or emotion is missing. The missing taillight will make the beancounters happy but it looks like shite and might confuse some cage drivers who dont know if you want to turn or stop…Stupid ugly and dangerous. And small bladder or not a 19 liter tank kills any touring bike being forced to frequent stops or giving you anxiety in less populated areas…Very stupid as real riders will be forced to buy the Elephant in the room that will be the ADV…As much as I like the looks of the ADV and its big tank I kind of would prefer a lighter and smaller bike but with the right tank size that seems to be around 24 liters or at least 6 gallons to give you a 200 mile range even ridden enthusiastically…!
Do you actually know how linked brakes work. Even on the 2014 Harley I had, the brakes were linked, back brake put a couple of front pistons on and the same if you pulled the front brake for the rear. But at below 10mph the brakes were no longer linked, the rear brake worked as normal. Who the hell uses the front brake when slow riding?

So can you let us know how the linked brakes work on the new 1300 as I haven't read of anybody falling off when slow riding yet, so unless they are really skilful, the linked brakes are not an issue.

Also don't get your tail light issues, the bikes still have stop lights, all a number plate light does is illuminate the number plate, which isn't enough to make the plate readable until you are really close. The bike still has reflectors.

You spout the same rubbish on multiple threads. What is the issue with not having a number plate light? What is the issue with a quiet exhaust, it's not a Harley? Bikes have had linked brakes for years, if you know how to ride, slow riding with linked brakes in not an issue. Are you sure that the linked brakes work below x mph, most are independent at slow speed. I am assuming nobody fell off slow riding whilst the testing was going on because of linked brakes. Smaller tank, most need a comfort break way before the tank is empty.
Put him on ignore, it's wonderful :ROFLMAO:

He's on my ignore list of 1 (y)

Casbar the foot brake is linked unless you put it on Enduro Pro mode…Try do do a steering lock turn on rear brake and clutch on the 1250 and you will be fine…On the 1300 as soon as the foot brake applies pressure on the front you will be on your head…Not good as also the tank that forces you to stop for fuel more often…As also 12 kilos less weight would be great but it is fake as the savings come from less fuel , a lithium battery and the fact that center stand , luggage tack and passenger pegs are extras now…I call that cheating as the only real weight savings are the 4 kilos less if you order the forged wheels which I like 👍 Motobob should have pointed that out if he wants to be taken serious…And how about taken it up to 145 with full luggage if the new ugly looking frame at least cured the wobble of the 1250 above 115 because the old Trellis like the head and taillights looked way better !?

Sorry, but I still think your are talking rubbish about the linked brakes. Have you read one report from any tester or owner, who has discovered they can't do a turn when slow riding? Do you believe BMW have decided to engineer a solution that makes one of the critical manoeuvres that motorcyclists make a bike tip over action. I maybe wrong of course, but have you actually ridden the bike or tried to slow ride?

What I think is more likely, you are making assumptions from your arm chair and talking rubbish.

But think I will now do what others have suggested and ignore your ramblings.

Some more bollocks from the chat bot........have you ridden one yet ....nah didn't think so........riding experience comes from time in the saddle not the computer chair.................

Most of what he writes is utter drivel. The Ignore button is like he's returned to Mexico with his panniers packed never to be heard of again. Although....I'm still unsure how large panniers and a top box fit to a C50...

A proper review - i.e. he wrings its neck....unlike Mr. Pratt, who is perpetually scared.
The new bike wheelies out of corners now , you could in rite place on the 1250 but now its anywhere . He loves it but would be nice to ss how much more he would gush pushing it on a twisty , rather than the straights as the bike sings and pulls and just flies.
