1250 to 1300-Is it worth the upgrade ?

Mine was an early 2013 XT model. Like anything new, Brought to market too early, relying on new owners to test it in the real world. Had a few recalls even in those short months. A new ECU swap, Side stand bolt. But the things that I couldn't live with were Luggage that didn't fit, Just vibrated around , not sitting in their mountings. Mild steel spokes, that after four weeks corroded. Hand guards dropping down, however tight you screwed them up. Vibrating mirrors. All that said, The Triple 1215 engine was sublime. Fourth gear was fantastic, Gritty. And, I thought it sounded good, even with the standard can.
Bottom line, It was never a GS, or anywhere near.
I have test rode the new (2023) Rallye version. A ten year gap between the two. I liked it. But and only in my own opinion, Still, Nowhere near a GS.
Im desperate to get away from the GS ..... I'm hoping I don't like the new GSA, And will purchase a K1600GTL. Or the chain drive V4S Ducati ?

Onahi I heared from some people who already saw the new GSA that is is a completely different animal from the new GS...I only hope it wont get too big because deep down after 3 GSAs I thought the regular GS with the ADV suspension and top loading bags became the sweet spot/best of Both worlds because I really dont give a crap about looks or image...I dont need 30 liters but 19 are a non starter for a lot of people who actually Ride and dont like to stop for fuel every 2 hours...Or ride in areas where gas stations are further apart that 150 or so miles...Soon we will know more because the last ADS 1250 are going out the door...Not a bad bike at all except for the dreaded wobble otherwise I would buy myself one of the last ones which is a great , burly looking bike with good exhaust sound and a little cheaper than the all new regular ones...

I am looking forward to the new GSA, Apparently, its been described as a tonka toy !

Onahi sounds like the regular 1300GS is the Marder the new 1400GS or 1300GSADV will be the Koenigstiger ! I take mine in Battle Tank grey with a decent Akrapovic exhaust without pre-muffler guaranteed not EU-legal...With a hydraulic lift to get it off the centerstand...LOL I rather have a 24 liter tank Option for the regular GS but we'll see ! Kommt Zeit kommt Rad...LOL

Troppo looks lonely…Hopefully you did not run out of gas and had some water in your sidecase…😉

We are still waiting for the video of you riding your awesome steed at awesome speeds in Mexico.
Make sure you state on the video your thoughts about the new 1390gs, so we know it’s you and not something you found in the internet.

We don’t believe you are as great as you claim to be…….. prove the doubters wrong.

(And learn to put your writing into paragraphs, as above as it makes it easier to read and digest)

Genuinely funny comment about his underpants being on fire! :ROFLMAO:

I found the legroom a bit tight but seems rarely commented on, maybe i was on a low seat version when i tried a demo, it’s my only real negative.
Test ride yesterday, exactly the same outcome. Was going to ask about seat height.

my test ride had a suspect seat that was supposed to be standard but suspect was a low version, I bought the demo bike and swapped the seat and its a bit higher. Ive got used to having a bit less legroom and don't find it a problem at all.

Can any riders 6'3" or taller (190.5cm or >) comment on comfort after being in the seat for an hour or more? I haven't been able to find one with the high seat and would rather not look for a peg lowering kit
