After 14 years with my 1150. Time for change. I decided to go for the Explorer. Hated it. After 8 months, sold it and returned to GSA.
The new 1200s are very different though

I am looking forward to the new GSA, Apparently, its been described as a tonka toy !Onahi I heared from some people who already saw the new GSA that is is a completely different animal from the new GS...I only hope it wont get too big because deep down after 3 GSAs I thought the regular GS with the ADV suspension and top loading bags became the sweet spot/best of Both worlds because I really dont give a crap about looks or image...I dont need 30 liters but 19 are a non starter for a lot of people who actually Ride and dont like to stop for fuel every 2 hours...Or ride in areas where gas stations are further apart that 150 or so miles...Soon we will know more because the last ADS 1250 are going out the door...Not a bad bike at all except for the dreaded wobble otherwise I would buy myself one of the last ones which is a great , burly looking bike with good exhaust sound and a little cheaper than the all new regular ones...

I'd rather a comparison between the new LR discovery and the Grenadier Quartermaster Trial pack in scottish white !It’ll be just like the current GSA…….
a proper GS with a children’s playground bolted onto it![]()
I did exactly the same and 100% agree with youI had a 1200 Explorer. I sold it for a 1200 GS - which was better in every way.

We are still waiting for the video of you riding your awesome steed at awesome speeds in Mexico.
Make sure you state on the video your thoughts about the new 1390gs, so we know it’s you and not something you found in the internet.
We don’t believe you are as great as you claim to be…….. prove the doubters wrong.
(And learn to put your writing into paragraphs, as above as it makes it easier to read and digest)

Test ride yesterday, exactly the same outcome. Was going to ask about seat height.Genuinely funny comment about his underpants being on fire!
I found the legroom a bit tight but seems rarely commented on, maybe i was on a low seat version when i tried a demo, it’s my only real negative.
my test ride had a suspect seat that was supposed to be standard but suspect was a low version, I bought the demo bike and swapped the seat and its a bit higher. Ive got used to having a bit less legroom and don't find it a problem at all.Test ride yesterday, exactly the same outcome. Was going to ask about seat height.
