1250 v 1200 is it worth it?

Come on all you guys with the new 1250 is it much better than the 1200 or not?
 
I think there is quite an animated thread on it already...........

Lots who have bought - appear delighted.
 
testing both on Saturday if its not snowing.

Not sure why it would be a mistake, it's the same bike as other LC bikes, apart from the engine and some different callipers, hardly terminal issues as yet. Bit like asking if buying a 18 plate over a 16 plate or whatever is worth it. Its worth it if you want a new bike. Like all this stuff, nobody forces anyone to buy new bikes, its a personal choice and I don't see why so many on a supposedly BMW oriented forum enjoy trying to wind up those who, for whatever reason have decided to buy a new bike. Good luck to them :)

That is the Point I was making, when you buy a new bike you are supposed to be happy, I have never moaned when I got a new bike, actually it has always been a new experience and fun.........:beerjug:

I was chatting with my dealer yesterday and yes I am sure that for sum it will be worth it
Only thing I REALY picked up was their will be no discounts as bmw cannot make enough
And supply is getting tight so 20k for the privalage of owning a new 1250 then
 
Just got the new hp one and it is worth it came from a 2016 triple black, both bike i love but the new one is better:beer:
 
Hi all. I cannot say which one is "best" or even "better". Apart from being subjective, I've not tried the 1250, so that scuppers me!

However, I can say, thanks to the this helpful Forum, I pulled the trigger on a new, unreg 1200 Adventure, comes tomorrow. Got a stonking good deal, again, guided by info on here, with extras etc. Very happy.

I will get one, not just yet.

I'm sticking a set of Ohlins on the R1200, new steering damper, set up the cams, maybe a fancy new seat.

Run it through 2019... and probably 2020....

2021 I'll change it then :)
 
I love mine and so far the front brakes are fine after 800 miles

Speaking to the dealer yesterday and I was told the HP version has massively exceeded sales but if you want a standard colour variant you should be able to get one without a problem
