Anyone got any pics with their 12GS sporting an adventure beak... I'm not sure if worth the effort. I think it looks pretty cool on the 1150 but not sure about the 12...

Cheers,

I had no intension of fitting a beak to mine but one came up cheap.

What are they for?

I've got an Adventure with its little beak thing, but I've always wondered what its there for. Is it just to make things look beefier, or is there a purpose?

Looks better IMHO and could stop stone chips on the end of the painted beak...

When you're messing about at the front of the bike the beak acts as a nice little nut and bolt tray, and without the beak extender they'll all roll off onto the floor ;)

Good answers, but rather contradictory, or do you have those soft none scratching nuts? Not bothered by scratches myself, but I do like the look of it (hence the Adventure flavour bike).

+1 for tool/bits tray.

Also its a good place to stash a of pair jeans. Not recommended at night though as the air (at 70mph m'lud) eventually moves the jeans up to cover the headlight....
